Theatrical photography has been a speciality of mine since university. Having worked backstage on countless different performances informs both my shooting (with an awareness of theatrical lighting, a sense of staging and blocking, &c.) and also my etiquette and behaviour: having often been on the other side of the situation, I appreciate how stressful the days leading up to opening night are, and am careful not to be intrusive on the cast and production team.
